About Imran
An advisor shaped by partnership, built on trust.
I'm Imran Ahmad, founder of ATGICS, a boutique investment advisory in Dubai. For more than 17 years I worked in corporate BioPharma, where progress depends on partnerships that are honest, transparent and designed to widen access. Today I bring that same discipline to private-market investing.
The health-equity lens
"Years in BioPharma showed me that capital and partnerships decide who gets access, and who waits. I carry that perspective into investing. It does not change my standard for returns or risk. It adds a question I ask of every opportunity: does this widen access, and is it built on trust and transparency?"

01· My story
An advisor who treats your capital as a personal responsibility.
For more than 17 years I worked inside global BioPharma. My work, in many forms, was access and partnership: bringing the right people and capabilities together so that innovation could reach the people who need it. That career taught me three things I still use every day.
- HonestyPartnerships last only when they are honest.
- TransparencyTrust is built through transparency, especially when the news is hard.
- DesignAccess does not happen by accident. It has to be designed.
When I began investing and advising on my own, I saw the same gaps in private markets. Capable investors and emerging fund managers often lacked a clear process, straight information and an advisor with nothing to sell them.
In 2025 I founded ATGICS in Dubai to close that gap. Our promise is in our name and our tagline: Consulting. Investment. Execution.

03· How I think about investing
Five principles I hold myself to.
Principle 01
Downside first.
I ask what could go wrong before I ask what could go right.
Principle 02
Read every line.
The clause you skim is the one that costs you, especially in short documents.
Principle 03
Process over excitement.
Structure beats enthusiasm and discipline beats timing.
Principle 04
Plan for the range.
A single date or number is an estimate, so we plan for the spread around it.
Principle 05
Independence.
I am paid to be right for you, and any interest I have in a recommendation is disclosed before you decide.
